A tiger took me
To the lake of the wounded
Amidst the mountain ranges
Spread from north to south;
Deer, stag and hare
Tiger, lion and hyena,
All had sought cure in this lake
Man captured the earth
Wounded the animals
It would have been enough for animals
To swim in the lake
To cure their wounds
The animals had hidden
The lake from men
But by crossing mountains
Traversing rivers
And destroying forests,
Men found the lake, too.
Man is a relentless animal
Without mercy.
He tried to capture the lake as well
With this the lake rid itself
Of its medical faculty
And hid within a cave
Amidst the mountains.
Freed from man
It will regain its medical powers
And appear again before the animals.
